I just love, and have always loved, Storypeople stories. I relate to many of them, as do many people , because they are all about the experience of being human. Many of them fit everyone, like a "one size fits all" piece of clothing because they are so up to interpretation, like any work of art.
Here is one I wanted to comment on today:
I spent a long time trying to find my center until I looked closely one night & found it had wheels & moved easily in the slightest breeze, so now I spend less time sitting and more time sailing!
As I said, everyone will see this how they see it. This is what I see:
Sometimes, many times, all the time, we go round in life seeking our center. "Oh, I just wish I "could" get calm or focused or at peace once again. I was there once, many times actually, and so want to BE there again." "Calgon take me away" kinda day!
Do you know what? YES, we have "wheels" that move and adjust and are free to go wherever the wind may take us. Key: IF we LET GO and ALLOW all that IS.
It is only in our WANTING IT TO BE DIFFERENT THAN IT IS that sees (perceives) us off center.
Loving it as it is, then BECOMES our center, you see? THAT is the balancing, that is the calm, that is the peaceful place. Then, you see, we spend way more time "sailing" than trying to see what is broken, needs fixing, needs worrying over, is wrong here etc. If you are looking down, studying the wheel or the potential problem, you may just be missing out on your life!
Life, your life, IS exactly AS IT IS. That is center, your life. Love it as your life and honor it as your life and SAIL in your life, no matter what.
Really it is ALL perspective, being ever conscious of those wheels (flexibility and variability) as well as sailing (I call holy spirit). With those two, center is always center with no fuss about it. Happy sailing! today!
Hmmm what do YOU see in this story?
Love, from my center loving heart to yours! Muah! Bette Bliss

FRIENDSHIP
Why do we mourn so over the loss of a friendship? Is it because we gave so much of ourselves, we shared so much of what is inside us, we were VULNERABLE and NOW look what happened!?
Well when any relationship ends, it is not easy. Or some continue for a time, some for a lifetime. As time progresses however, the reasons why we were together emerge.
This poem always helps me to get right to the bottom line when I lose a friend. It makes it simple.
I immediately start looking at it with gratitude being willing to see all it brought the both of us. What gems we gathered, what lessons we learned, what traditions we can carry on in other ways. I seek to see how the shape of our love has changed now and it is ok. We still love each other, it just looks differently. They are in my heart, in my person and I am changed due to my relationship with them.
Enjoy the poem and happy friendships!
A Reason, A Season, A Lifetime Dedicated to You
People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong -doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.
When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life!
